Career Break

Pearson’s career break policy allows eligible employees to apply for unpaid career breaks of between 3 months and 12 months. The purpose of a career break is to:
- allow employees to take an extended period of time away from work to allow for personal or professional development (e.g., travelling, voluntary work in UK or abroad, undertaking a period of study or training, etcetera)
- assist employees with work/life balance (e.g., at various stages during an individual’s working life, domestic, family, community, educational, and other public service commitments may mean they wish to take some time away from employment)
