Gympass | New Name. Same Commitment.

Wellhub, formerly Gympass, is evolving beyond a simple gym pass to become a complete wellbeing platform. While the name is new, its commitment to your wellbeing remains unchanged.

Wellhub provides access to gyms and leisure centers, live-stream classes, personal training, and wellness apps, all depending on the membership plan you choose. The plans are flexible, allowing you to change your level of membership each month. If you're not ready to commit to a monthly fee, consider signing up for the free Digital membership, which includes access to a few apps and some online classes.

Eye Care | For a Clear and Healthy Future

We are pleased to remind all employees about the Eye Care scheme available to you as part of our commitment to your health and wellbeing. If you are a regular user of Display Screen Equipment (DSE) or Visual Display Units (VDU), you are entitled to reimbursement of up to £30 for an eye test once a year.

Additionally, if spectacles are required specifically for DSE/VDU use, Pearson will contribute up to £110 towards the cost of the spectacles. Read the Eye Test policy for more information.

Lifetime Allowance (LTA) Abolished | Replaced with New Allowances

The start of the new tax year on 6 April brought about new changes for pension savers. With the removal of the LTA, new allowances were introduced – the Individual’s Lump Sum Allowance (LSA) and the Individual’s Lump Sum and Death Benefit Allowance (LSDBA). These allowances aim to limit the total amount of tax-free lump sums that individuals can receive from their pension savings. A third allowance, the Overseas Transfer Allowance (OTA), was introduced to limit tax-free transfers overseas for individuals.*

To understand what these changes may mean for you, visit the Pearson Pension Plan website or complete this online form to submit your question(s).

Why not step away from your daily work routine and use some paid time away for a cause that matters to you? Pearson encourages employees to volunteer within their communities at charitable institutions, educational establishments, or social justice organizations.

The policy provides up to five days of paid volunteering leave per calendar year, prorated for part-time employees working less than five days a week. For more details, please refer to the Volunteering policy.
